These maps show the action taken by the city. The maps depict the percent of the open, closed, and pending cases since August 2008 to August 2009. For a case to be considered “close”, it doesn’t mean that the city cleaned up the graffiti. It only means they have responded to the complaint. A “open” case means they have taken no action. A “pending” case means the action is in progress and suggests work is being done.
Surprisingly from the depicted data, the Bronx has the second shortest time of response and the least amount of open cases. The Bronx has the highest density of graffiti, but seems to be doing better in responding to complaints.
